CLDS Tech Talk: YARN the Way to Share Clusters Beyond Traditional Hadoop

Omkar Joshi, YARN (Yet Another Resource Negotiator) Developer at Hortonworks, will describe YARN  architecture, including resource localization (distributed cache), resource scheduler, resource manager restart, and security. He will give brief idea on how to write an application on top of YARN and pointers on how to contribute back to open source.
 
At present Joshi is working at Hortonworks, Inc., headquartered in Palo Alto, California, on security, resource localization and related areas. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from State University of
New York, Stony Brook.
